Six-Mile Walk/Hike to/from Helen Putnam Regional Park

Stunning scenery along beautiful rural roads in West Marin and Sonoma counties. Distances have changed slightly due to efforts to stay off CA HwyRoute One. Ocean and Tomales Bay views and rolling hills and Holstein cows as you ride. One of California’s premier challenging century rides with superior support services and local organic fabulous food. Striking new Holstein jersey design. Get your mooing ready.

Walkers/Hikers will love the panoramic views of Holstein cows and rolling hills, dotted with vintage oak trees along fire roads and trails past fish pond. Possibly stay on flat terrain at Junior High or head to Helen Putnam Park where there is a steep entrance, then moderately level loops but easy to shorten or lengthen 6-mile route. Build a group of 6 and each receive $3 discount until 8/15/12.

We are partnering with other agencies serving local human needs for dignity and self-sufficiency and you may donate to them as you register.

Entry fee includes: Early morning pre-ride/walk breakfast, route maps, post-ride/walk gourmet meal, free parking, mostly local, organic, fabulous rest stop food, plus water and drinks, good humor, first aid supplies, radio support, SAG support and even a few friendly Holstein cows cheering you along the bike routes but not in Helen Putnam Park.

Extra Meals available for your non-participant friends. Fee $ 12  Possibly volunteer in the AM??

6:30-8:30am for 100 mile and 65 mile rides
8:00-10:00am for 35 and 15 mile rides

START for Walkers:

9:00-10:00am (changed to later)

Please register early so we can plan outstanding food and plenty of it. Share your excitement with friends and invite them to cycle, walk or volunteer !  Day of event registration available for cyclists & walkers.

Holstein 100 Raffe Trip: 2 places for GetAway Adventure's Sip N' Cycle Calistoga series: an all day, personalized fully guided, easy ride that is mostly flat around 12 to 15 miles in Napa Valley and includes a Wine Country Picnic along with a wine education component that teach all the finer points of wine tasting available in Napa ( Carneros) Calistoga, Sonoma and Healdsburg.
